During my PhD at ETH Zurich, I was supervised by Prof. Joachim M. Buhmann (Information Science and Engineering Group, Institute for Machine Learning) and Prof. Volkmar Falk (German Heart Center at Charité). My research combined theoretical and applied work, focusing on learned representations in deep neural networks and their utility in medical contexts. I explored novel data modalities for intensive care, collaborating closely with medical professionals at Charité.

During my Master’s Degree at ETH, I spent time abroad as a Visiting Student Researcher at UC Berkeley, working in Prof. Borelli’s Model Predictive Control Lab.

My research interests revolve around learned representations in generative models and their applications in medicine. I am particularly excited about how these models can enhance medical decision-making and improve patient outcomes. In my work, I maintain a strong collaboration with Charité in Berlin.
